All possible questions and the answers are covered with additional explanation of the answer, if needed, to enhance your understanding of the answer. Training materials are available at no cost for self study or as the text for teaching a formal classroom license class. The EMCOMM traning class is based on the ARRL 4th edition of Introduction to Emergency Communication Course ©2011 first edition (ISBN 976-0-87259-730-3). This is a vary large presentation, also available in PowerPoint format by request, for Instructors to use when preparing students to take the ARRL EMCOMM exam. This class is usually taught with multiple instructors over three 8 hour days with the last half of day three for the exam.
This Power Point presentation explains how EMP (Electro Magnetic Pulse) and CME (solar Coronal Mass Ejections) can affect our infrastructure. It also suggests precautions amateur radio operators should take to protect their gear.
